General Physician in Delhi for Piles and Fissure Treatment

What are Piles?

The anal tract has a large number of main veins. Chronic constipation, straining when defecating, pregnancy, or obesity can all cause blood flow to the anus to be disrupted, causing the veins to bulge. These lumps are referred to as piles. It can be both internal and external. Internal hemorrhoids form in the lower rectum and can protrude from the anus. External hemorrhoids appear on the skin around the anus. External heaps of blood clots generate a hard, painful bump around the anus.

What are Fissures?

Constipation can make bowel movements difficult. When you pass a firm stool, the mucous layer around the anus may tear or rupture. This is called a fissure that occurs more frequently in youngsters than in adults. Reduced blood supply to the sphincter muscles (found in the anal canal) or Crohn’s disease may also cause it in adulthood.

Digital inspection. She puts a greased, gloved finger into your rectum. She feels for anything out of the ordinary, such as growth.

Visual examination. Because internal hemorrhoids are typically too soft to detect during a rectal exam, She may use an anoscope, proctoscope, or sigmoidoscope to check the bottom region of your colon and rectum.

She may recommend a colonoscopy to evaluate your whole colon if:

  • Your indications and symptoms point to another digestive system disorder.
  • You have colorectal cancer risk factors.
  • You are in your forties and have not undergone a recent colonoscopy.

Frequently Asked Questions.

How are Piles and Fissures treated?

The first therapy for piles and fissures is essentially the same. The methods are as follows:

  • To help with bowel motions, eat a nutritious diet.
  • Drink lots of water, which also aids in stool softening.
  • Topical analgesics that successfully alleviate pain.
2.Is surgery necessary for Piles and Fissure?

If diet and medicine do not help, your doctor may recommend surgery. Unlike the initial therapy, the surgical procedures for these disorders are distinct.

PILES:
If piles create blood clots, there are two alternatives. –
Haemorrhoidectomy is removing the protruding piles.
Staple hemorrhoidopexy involves removing the larger piles and repositioning the remaining tissue with staples.
FISSURE:
A sphincterotomy is the last resort for fissures. Doctors only recommend it if the symptoms are severe and passing stool is difficult. This approach makes a tiny incision in the anus sphincter muscles to release pressure. This permits the cracks to close and heal.

Are there any home remedies for Piles and Fissure?

Yes, you can use the following treatments to treat piles and fissures:
Coconut oil: It offers several health advantages, ranging from improved immunity to functioning as a laxative. It can facilitate stool passage and minimize edema around the anus.
Aloe Vera: If you have an aloe vera plant at home, you can crush a leaf and apply the gel to the affected region to cure fissures. It will aid with skin restoration.
Warm bath: Soak for 15-20 minutes in a warm bath, and you will feel a considerable reduction in both pain and edema.
